Best Time To Visit Tarangire

  1. Dry Season (June to October): This period is considered the best time to visit Tarangire National Park. The weather is dry, and the vegetation is less dense, making it easier to spot wildlife, including the large herds of elephants. June to October is the peak tourist season, offering excellent game viewing opportunities. September and October are particularly recommended for observing the big herds of elephants.

  2. November: November is a transition month between the dry and wet seasons. It can still be relatively dry, making it a good time to visit if you want to avoid crowds and enjoy lower rates. The vegetation is not as lush as during the wet season, and game viewing can still be rewarding.

  3. Wet Season (November to May): The wet season, which includes the short rains (November to December) and the long rains (March to May), brings lush greenery to Tarangire National Park. This period is great for birdwatching as migratory birds arrive, and the park becomes vibrant and lush. The low season from late November to May offers the advantage of fewer tourists and lower accommodation rates.
