Full Itinerary

Day 1: Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Early in the morning, catch your flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. On arrival, meet your friendly safari guide and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful wildlife destinations. Tarangire is famous for its huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. It is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with hundreds of colorful species flying across the skies and nesting in the trees.

Enjoy a day game drive, discovering the park’s amazing wildlife and landscapes. Stop for a picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by nature. After a wonderful day of safari, drive to Eileen’s Trees Inn in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most famous natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor is a rich ecosystem, home to over 25,000 animals, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the rare black rhino.

Spend the day on a half game drive, observing wildlife in their natural habitat. You may also see hippos relaxing in the water, flocks of flamingos near the lakes, and thousands of wildebeest and zebras grazing together. Your guide will share interesting facts about the animals, the crater’s formation, and its unique ecosystem.

Take a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the crater walls and open savannah. After lunch, continue your game drive and soak in the stunning views until it’s time to ascend from the crater rim. You will drive back to Arusha, enjoying the beautiful landscapes along the way. In the late afternoon, board your flight back to Zanzibar, arriving in the early evening with unforgettable memories of your Tanzanian safari adventure.
