Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Your safari starts when you land at Arusha Airport (ARK) or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). A professional and friendly representative from Nice African Adventure and Safaris will meet you with a warm welcome.He will help with your luggage and give you a short explanation of your safari plan.

You will then drive to your beautiful lodge in Arusha. This is your time to rest after the long journey. You can walk around the gardens, enjoy a coffee, relax in your room, or simply enjoy the peaceful environment.

Day 2: Arusha → Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up and drive you to Tarangire National Park, a place famous for its huge elephant families and giant baobab trees that are hundreds of years old. Today you will enjoy a full-day game drive. You will explore wide open savannahs, river areas, swamps, and woodlands. Tarangire is home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, lions, leopards, and many birds. The park is one of the best places in Tanzania to spot large groups of elephants.

You will have a picnic lunch inside the park, surrounded by nature and wildlife. After your afternoon game drive, you will continue to your beautiful lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu to Central Serengeti

After an early breakfast, begin your journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. On the way, you will drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you may see Maasai people and their cattle, beautiful landscapes, and wildlife along the road. Before entering Serengeti, you will stop at Naabi Hill Gate for photos and a short walk. From here you will start seeing endless views of the Serengeti plains.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch prepared by your guide before starting your first game drive in Central Serengeti, known for being one of the richest wildlife areas in Africa. You may spot lions resting on rocks, cheetahs hunting, leopards in trees, elephants walking slowly, zebras grazing, and many more animals. In the evening, drive to your luxury lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)

After breakfast, start driving toward Northern Serengeti, one of the best places to see the Great Migration. Between July and October, millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move through this area searching for fresh grass.

Today you may witness one of the most dramatic events in nature — the Mara River crossing, where animals risk their lives crossing the river while crocodiles wait in the water. It is an unforgettable experience. You will enjoy game drives throughout the day, stopping for lunch at a scenic point. In the evening, head to your lodge or luxury tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Full Day in Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)

Wake up early for another full day exploring Northern Serengeti. This region is full of wildlife during the migration season. You will follow the herds, watch predators hunting, and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.

If river crossings are happening, your guide will take you to the best viewing areas. You may see crocodiles waiting, wildebeest jumping, and thousands of animals moving together  a true miracle of nature.A picnic lunch will be served in the bush, surrounded by the sounds of the wild. After an unforgettable day, return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 6: Northern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, start your drive back south toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive offers beautiful views of hills, plains, and Maasai villages along the way. You will arrive at your lodge on the crater rim in the late afternoon. From here, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater — one of the most beautiful places in Africa. You will enjoy dinner and relax at your luxury lodge as you prepare for tomorrow’s crater safari.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha / Departure

After an early breakfast, you will begin your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most spectacular wildlife areas in Africa. The crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is often described as a natural wonder of the world because of its beauty and the incredible concentration of animals living inside it. Formed millions of years ago, the crater floor creates a natural enclosure that supports a wide variety of wildlife throughout the year.

As you drive into the crater, you will have the chance to see the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and black rhino. Ngorongoro is one of the few places where all these animals can be spotted in one day, making your game drive especially rewarding. The crater is also home to large herds of zebra and wildebeest, families of warthogs, graceful gazelles, and many hyenas that roam the plains. Around the lakes, you will see hippos resting in the water and flocks of flamingos creating beautiful pink shades on the surface.

Midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, where you can relax and enjoy the view as you listen to the sounds of nature around you. After lunch, you will continue with your final game drive, giving you more time to explore different parts of the crater and spot any animals you may have missed earlier. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport. This marks the end of your safari, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s remarkable wildlife and landscapes.
